Clerk and Recorder
The Clerk and Recorder’s Office is the official keeper of records for Beaverhead County. These records include Deeds, Mortgages, Subdivisions, Certificates of Surveys, Birth and Death Records.
The majority of all Clerk & Recorder’s records are open to the public. Searches, copies and certified copies are provided upon request for a fee. Fees for searches and copies are charged according to Montana Statute. Our documents can now be searched online through iDoc Market.
The Clerk and Recorders’ Office also serves as the Election Office for Beaverhead County.
Beginning July 1, 2019 Birth Certificates will be increased to $8.00 per certified copy and Death Certificates will be increased to $5.00 per certified copy.

Beaverhead County Land Records
On June 12, 2019, Beaverhead County went live with our document indexing on IDoc Market. Records dating January 1, 2002 to present are available to view digitally. Beaverhead County is working to expand our digital records, however early microfilm images, plats and certificates of surveys are in the process of being imaged and are searchable in the Clerk & Recorders office. Documents such as Vital Records and Military Discharge Documents are confidential and images are not available.
