DPHHS Director in Dillon – Jan 12

The Beaverhead County Mental Health Local Advisory Council (MHLAC) hosts Sheila Hogan, Director of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services on Friday, January 12 at noon in the University of Montana Western Library’s second-floor conference room.  The public is invited.

Ms. Hogan will address various issues related to state budget cuts in our area affecting targeted case management and other services, the community and statewide impact of the overall mental health-related budget cuts, and the related closures of the Western Montana Mental Health Center Office and the Office of Public Assistance in Dillon.

Hogan will also meet with consumers and representatives from Barrett Hospital and Healthcare, School District #10, and the Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch prior to the MHLAC meeting at noon.

The MHLAC focus for the afternoon meeting is to balance the legitimate frustrations consumers and the community have with these budget cuts with discussions on positive, viable alternatives for service delivery and how to assist our community in supporting vulnerable citizens.
