Election Office

The Beaverhead County Elections Office administers the maintenance of the voter registration files, candidate filings, and annually conducts Federal Primary and General Elections, Special District Elections, Municipal Elections and countywide Primary and General Elections. All elections are conducted by the County Clerk & Recorder, acting as Election Administrator, with exception of some special districts and school elections, which are conducted by the individual  district.

IMPORTANT ELECTION INFORMATION

 

NOTICE OF PUBLIC TEST

In accordance with 13-17-212, M.C.A., the Beaverhead County Election Office will be conducting a
public test for the purpose of testing and certifying the Express Vote voting machines for the 2021
Municipal General Election. The test will be held in the main hallway at the County Courthouse on
Wednesday, October 6th at 1:00 p.m.

 

NOTICE OF PUBLIC TEST

In accordance with 13-17-212, M.C.A., the Beaverhead County Election Office will be conducting a
public test for the purpose of testing and certifying the DS450 & DS200 tabulating machines for the
2021 Municipal General Election. The test will be held in the employee breakroom at the County
Courthouse on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.

 

Notice of Close of Regular Voter Registration and Option for Late Registration
Notice is hereby given that regular registration for the City of Dillon and the Town of Lima Mail Ballot General Election to be held on November 2, 2021, will close at 5:00 PM on Monday, October 04, 2021.
NOTE: If you miss this regular registration deadline, you may still register for the election by appearing in person at the Beaverhead County election office up until 12 Noon the day before the election which would be Monday, November 1, 2021.
Ballots will be automatically mailed on October 15, 2021 to active electors within the City of Dillon and the Town of Lima. If you are a registered voter and do not receive a ballot, contact the county election office to update your information as necessary and receive a ballot.
Persons who wish to register and who are not presently registered may do so by requesting a form for registration by mail or by appearing before the County Election Administrator. If you have moved, please have your registration transferred to your present address.

2021 GENERAL ELECTIONS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a mail ballot election will be held on November 2, 2021 in and for the CITY OF DILLON and the TOWN OF LIMA MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTIONS. Ballots shall be mailed to all active registered voters in the City of Dillon and Town of Lima in Beaverhead County on October 15, 2021.
Ballots will be automatically mailed to Active Electors only. If you are a registered voter and do not receive a ballot, contact the county election office to update your information as necessary and receive a ballot.
If you missed the regular registration deadline, you may still register for the election by appearing in person at the county election office up until 12 Noon the Monday before the election.
Persons who wish to register and who are not presently registered may do so by requesting a form for registration by mail or by appearing at the county election office. If you have moved, please update your registration information by filling out a new voter registration card and submitting it to the county election office.
